Growing up in Northwestern Montana, Marla spent summers in Glacier National Park at a relative’s cabin on the shores of Lake McDonald next door to Bull Head Lodge, the summer residence of famed Western Artist Charlie Russell.
Those summers in the park led to an appreciation of its history and in particular its many historic log structures which she often incorporates into her paintings of the Park.
In addition to landscapes, Marla is well known for her still-lifes which range from fine European porcelains, linens and lace to fishing gear.
